Valentine’s Day
As we approach Valentine’s Day, you may be wondering if there’s someone out there for you? Perhaps you’ve not yet found your perfect match?
If you are and you’ve maybe even given up hoping you’ll meet anyone - don’t let that put you off enjoying a day of the year that most single people hate! You’re not alone when you coil in the corner after being asked how many Valentine’s Cards you’ve received, it happens year after year to everyone and there’s nothing to be embarrassed about.
So here’s some tips to get you feeling good about yourself and your future with or without your Valentine!
Firstly, get in contact with other members on here – you can all share how you feel and get lots of comfort from knowing that if you aren’t partnered up quite yet, it doesn’t mean you won’t be and that you can’t find new friends.
Secondly, be positive! Don’t feel that because you’re alone you’re not worth anything. You absolutely are! You need to love yourself – that’s the most important part of being attractive and if you’re alone on Valentine’s Day don’t let it beat you. Love yourself, like yourself and others will find you all the more attractive for it.
Thirdly, go out! Don’t sit be by yourself if you know it’s going to make you feel down. Go out with friends, arrange an evening that’s about having fun, chatting and generally enjoying yourself. It needn’t be a negative experience, but a postive one. Maybe meet up with other single people in your area and enjoy the fact that this year you’ve got to spend an evening with friends.
Lastly, don’t give up! No matter how many times you haven’t quite met Mr or Mrs Right, don’t give up trying. You WILL find your match, they just haven’t quite found their way to you…YET. Rest assured they will.
An absolutely true story from a friend last year who was single on Valentine’s Day? She went out with a group of singles and someone brought along their brother. Can you guess what happened? They have been dating for a year and 2010 Valentine’s Day is their anniversary.
